Do our members have to download something from the App Store?
No. On Starter and Growth, members open a link or scan a QR code and add the app to their home screen in seconds. It works like an app, with its own icon and notifications. On Ministry, you also get real App Store and Google Play apps under your church's name. Those need your church's own Apple ($99 a year) and Google ($25 once) developer accounts, and usually go live 2–4 weeks after the accounts are open.
Who sets it up?
We do. Send us your logo, service times, ministries and giving details, and we build your app in about a week. After that, your staff can update everything from their phones.
How does giving work?
Members give by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, once or every week or month. Gifts go straight to your church's own Stripe account, never through ours. Stripe charges its standard processing fee and we add a 1% platform fee (0.5% on Ministry), and givers can tick a box to cover the fees so your church receives the full gift. Prefer your current giving page? The Give button can open that instead.
Can our livestream show in the app?
Yes. If you stream on YouTube, your live service appears in the app when it starts, and past services stay a tap away.
How private are prayer requests?
Only the member who sent a request and your church's pastors and admins can read it. Other members, other churches and ChurchForUs staff can't. You can set requests to delete automatically.
Does the price go up as our church grows?
No. Your plan costs the same whether 40 or 4,000 people use your app. We don't charge per member, per giver or per attendee, and there's no limit on members. The only part that moves is the giving fee, which is a small share of each gift.
Can we sell tickets, T-shirts or resources in the app?
Yes, with the Church Shop. Sell tickets with a QR code for the door (conferences, retreats, banquets, concerts, camps), downloads (study guides, sermon series, e-books, chord charts your church owns) and items people collect at church (T-shirts and hoodies in every size and colour, books, CDs, fundraiser items). Money goes straight to your church's own Stripe account, with the same small fee as giving. It's included in Ministry and $29 a month on Starter or Growth.
What shouldn't the Church Shop be used for?
Tithes and offerings: use Giving, which handles funds and recurring gifts. Anything that has to be posted to the buyer: there's no shipping, so items are collected at church. Raffles and prize draws: they often need a licence from your state, so check before selling chances. And anything your church doesn't have the right to sell, such as other people's music or books as downloads.
What if we want to leave?
No contract. Cancel any month and we'll export your content for you.
Which Bible versions are included?
Free versions such as KJV, WEB, Reina-Valera 1909 and Louis Segond, plus Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa Bibles. Licensed versions like NIV and NKJV are coming as an add-on.
