Terms of Service

Last updated October 22, 2026

The short version: churches subscribe month to month and can cancel any time. Each church owns its content and is responsible for what it posts. Gifts go straight to the church's own Stripe account, minus Stripe's fees and a disclosed platform fee. Members use their church's app under these terms and their church's own policies.

1. Who these terms are with

ChurchForUs is operated by Evoke Musik LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("ChurchForUs", "we", "us"). These terms apply to churches and organizations that subscribe ("Churches"), the staff they invite, and members who use a Church's app ("Members"). By using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

We host a branded app for each Church, available on the web and, on plans that include them, in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Features depend on the Church's plan and add-ons, and we may improve or change features over time. If we remove something a Church is paying for, we'll give notice and adjust the price or let the Church cancel.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Church admins decide who gets pastor or admin access and are responsible for removing access when someone leaves.

4. Churches' responsibilities

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, harass or threaten anyone, send spam, upload malicious code, try to reach another church's information, or get around our security or usage limits. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do, and we'll tell the Church when we can.

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

7. Giving

8. Our content and your license to us

We own the ChurchForUs platform, design and software. A Church gives us permission to host, display, translate (when its staff use the translation tool), back up and deliver its content solely to provide the service. That permission ends when the content is deleted, except for routine backups that roll off on their own.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service running, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Livestreams, video and third-party services such as YouTube, Apple and Google are outside our control.

10. Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount the Church paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost donations or lost data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

A Church agrees to cover reasonable losses we suffer from claims about content it or its members posted, or about its breach of these terms or the law.

12. Ending the agreement

A Church may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end service for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or for non-payment, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as payment, liability and indemnity) continue after the agreement ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we'll update the date above and tell Churches at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new terms.
